The series is entitled 'The In Between', and is a documentation of my remaining time in New York- a period quickly coming to a close. This is an examination of how knowing an end approaching has affected my relationships. It’s an acknowledgement of how I have changed, how intimacy has always colored my work. This series is a love letter- a time capsule of pleasure, apology, and the in-between space before I move my life to another city. I began the project in the beginning of June with the intention of documenting the summer in Brooklyn. Shifting my photography to this intimate subject matter of my personal life has been incredibly difficult, but I’ve realized that seeing my loved ones in my work is gratifying for me. Here is this honest attempt at capturing my relationships majorly changing- something hard to acknowledge, but beautiful to look back at.
